I spent my youth in Italy and moved to the United States in 1994 after studying at the University of Florence. In 2005 I received my Ph.D. at Rutgers University.
As a graduate student, I taught at Rutgers University, and at The College of New Jersey. After receiving my Ph.D., I taught at City College (CUNY), Montclair University, and Kean University in NJ. In the fall of 2008, I joined the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Humanities Foreign Languages, ESL, and Humanities at the York College / City University of New York, where I teach Italian, World Literatures, and Humanities courses.
